According to a flood map done by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) , by year 2100 most of Menlo Park will underwater, all due to rising sea levels. Rising sea levels are mostly being caused by melting ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica, as well as thermal expansion. Both of these reasons are caused by one thing: climate change. Climate change generally refers to the overall temperature of the earth rising, due to the burning of fossil fuels trapping heat in the atmosphere. This topic is very important because it will be a massive problem, and could affect many coastal cities and habitats.
